The Tiffany rose is a distinguished hybrid tea variety bred by Robert Lindquist and introduced in 1954. Its blooms are rose-pink with yellow undertones and salmon-pink shading, forming large, high-centered, very double flowers averaging 4.75 inches in diameter. Each flower comprises 25 to 30 petals and emits a strong, fruity fragrance with notes of lemon and classic rose.
The plant exhibits a medium upright growth habit, reaching heights of 3 to 4 feet with a spread of 2 to 3 feet. It is known for its vigorous growth, disease resistance, and continuous blooming from spring through autumn. The long, sturdy stems make it an excellent choice for cut flowers.
Tiffany has received several prestigious awards, including the Portland Gold Medal in 1954, the All-America Rose Selections (AARS) in 1955, and the American Rose Society’s James Gamble Rose Fragrance Award in 1962.
